The Red Book - a Roadmap for Systems Security Research

3 October 2013

The SysSec Network of Excellence announces the publication of the Red Book, an updated Roadmap for Systems Security Research. Driven by a Task Force of leading young researchers and supported by the project partners, the Red Book is the result of the concerted effort of the broader SysSec community including its Working Groups, its Industrial Advisory Board, and its associated members.

We hope that the Red Book will become a document that will help shape the European Systems Security Research for the years to come. Three are the main results of the Red Book:

  • Grand Challenge Problems that, if addressed, will make a major step towards improving our security and privacy for the future
  • Emerging threats and vulnerabilities that are already a concern or will become a significant concern in the near future
  • Specific research problems that can be addressed today in order to mitigate the results of the identified emerging threats.

The Red Book can be downloaded from http://red-book.eu.
