Intel Research and Innovation Conference 2013

22 - 23 October 2013

The 2013 Intel European Research and Innovation Conference will take place at the RadissonBlu Hotel in Nice, France from October 22-23.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Building a Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive society through Research and Innovation partnership’ and there will be a number of distinct focus areas included within the event.

Goal and Scope

Conference Goals

  • Promote a world class research and innovation ecosystem in Europe through focused research and innovation between enterprise, academia and policy makers
  • Showcase and demonstrate the value of Intel’s Research, Development and Innovation activities from across the ILE network and beyond
  • Advance further understanding of applied strategic research in the following areas;
      • Connected Cities – Advancing compute, communication and social constructs to deliver breakthrough innovations in system architecture, algorithms, and societal participation
      • Computer Architecture & Design –  New trends and insights
      • HPC Exascale – How will we use Exascale systems
      • Mobility – Enabling the future of mobility
      • Networking – Building Networks for the future
Scope
  • Direct access to Intel researchers and thought leaders
  • Facilitate enterprise, academia and policy makers to network, to communicate, and to focus on key research challenges
  • Identify potential partnerships for collaboration and build support for focused research programs within a European context
  • Facilitate inter-disciplinary and inter-institute networking, communications and collaboration
  • Provide a forum for clustering of aligned research activities
  • Showcase and demonstrate the value of Intel's R&D activities across Europe
