Task Force for Co-ordination of Media Affairs - Journalists' mobility - Feasibility study

ERASMUS for Journalists

In early 2010, the European Commission (DG INFSO) launched a feasibility study to analyse the general viability and optimal implementation mode of the pilot project “Erasmus for journalists”. This study is currently being produced by The Evaluation Partnership (TEP), with Economisti Associati and the European Journalism Centre.

A workshop was held in Brussels, 1 December 2010.  The purpose was to discuss the main preliminary findings and conclusions of the feasibility study. Participants received documentation in advance of the meeting, and were invited to comment on the results of the project and ask questions or raise issues which might be important for running the programme in the future. The workshop also facilitated an open discussion around the objectives, challenges and promotion of the programme. The final report of the feasibility study will take into account the results of the discussions.
