Grants of this type are aimed at independent production companies developing dramas, animations or creative documentaries that have been registered for at least one year. Companies submitting an application must have produced a previous work, which has been distributed during the period between 1 January 2007 and the date of submission of their application.
Which types of production are eligible for a single project development grant?
Dramas, animations and creative documentaries. All such works must be of a minimum length and your company must hold the copyright.
While the Call
for Proposals is open. For financial year 2010, this is from 26/09/2009 until
12/04/2010. There will be two deadlines: 27/11/2009 and 12/04/2010.
How much is a single project grant worth?
The minimum grant is 10,000€. The maximum grant is 60,000€ except for feature-length animations for theatrical release, for which the maximum is 80,000€.
What is the total EU budget for single project grants?
For 2010, the budget allocated to co-financing Single Projects is estimated to be 7m€ (3,5 m€ for the 1st deadline and 3,5 m€ for the 2nd)
When will the results of the selection procedure be known?
For the 1st deadline (applications sent between 26/09/09 and 27/11/09),
applicants will be informed of the results no later than during the month of
April 2010.
For the 2nd deadline (applications sent between 28/11/09 and 12/04/10),
applicants will be informed of the results no later than during the month of
September 2010.
How likely are you to receive a grant?
Project applications received by the Commission are ranked by merit at the end of the selection procedure. The best are awarded funding, until the available budget is exhausted. Under the last Call for Proposals (24/08), 863 single project applications were received, of which 188 were selected.
