CSC: Finnish IT Centre for Science

For the duration of IST 2006 event, CSC provides a broadband (>1 Gbps) connection from the IST 2006 exhibition to Géant2, via Funet and NORDUnet, in liaison with Elisa and Finnexpo

Exiformat provides a giant panorama screen at the EU Commission for the duration of the IST 2006 exhibition. Exiformat technology generates a continuous and synchronised dynamic graphics background for the presentation of interactive audiovisual content on a multiscreen presentation environment.

HP provides 40 desktop PCs and 5 laser printers for the IST 2006 Exhbition, with on-site installation, maintenance and removal. All computers with Ethernet LAN connection, keyboard, flat display, mouse. The HP computers are installed at the Cybercafe, at the Commission stand, Exhibiton information stand, Networking and Conference information desks.

The Best IST Project Website award and the Best Exhibit Award are both sponsored by Nokia, who have provided  €10.000 in prize money for each award.  The winners of both competitions will be announced at the closing plenary session on 23 November, 14.00-15.30 hrs.
