Internet of Services 2010: Collaboration Meeting for FP6 & FP7 projects

19-20 October 2010, Diamant Center Brussels

The European Commission, DG Information Society, "Software & Service Architectures and Infrastructures" Unit organise, together with the projects Deploy and Reservoir, the Internet of Services Collaboration meeting.

Intended Participants

All representatives of FP6 and FP7 projects in the area of Software & Services, Grid and Software and Service Architectures and Infrastructures are invited to participate. Also welcome are representatives from other projects who wish to collaborate with the above projects or wish to contribute to the Future Internet Assembly or NESSI.

Objectives of the meeting

The meeting has the following objectives:

• To consolidate the collaboration activities among the projects in order to build an even stronger community; to include the newly started projects in Collaboration Working Groups.
• Give the newly starting projects the opportunity to understand key results of the already running projects/collaboration working groups in order to facilitate reuse of these results
• Give the already running projects/collaboration working groups the opportunity to exploit their results better by finding synergies with the newly started projects
• To achieve a better understanding of the results of the FP6 & FP7 projects in the “Internet of Services” area

In order to achieve these objectives the newly starting projects will be asked in which results of which projects they are particularly interested, during their project negotiations. This collection will be transferred to the appropriate collaboration working groups, who are asked to organise an interactive session with presentations, demo's and discussion facilitating possible take up of these results by the new projects. To find out more about the Collaboration Working Group objectives please visit http://www.eu-ecss.eu/contents/collaboration-working-groups.

Posters

All projects are invited to develop a poster that will contain project results or for the new projects that will contain the aims and approach of the project. Name of contact person, telephone number and when there is time available for discussion should be clearly indicated, so that networking is facilitated.

Leaflets and other dissemination material
Near the registration facilities, there will be tables available where projects can distribute leaflets and other dissemination material of interest.

Furthermore, the brochure with the factsheets of the projects will be available (no need to print separate sheets).

Format of the meeting

This year each collaboration working group has organised a half-day session to progress their activities. Check the on-line agenda to see where your project can contribute. For general information about the objectives of each working group, please check the ECSS collaboration facility.
