Information Day on Objective 1.2 – Call 8 : Presentations
Presentations
Objective 1.2: Cloud Computing, Internet of Services and Advanced Software
Engineering has three main research lines (target outcomes) and coordination and
support actions.

Cloud Computing
Advanced Research for Cloud Computing aims at problems of virtualization and software engineering in virtualized environments, including data consistency and protection. Interoperability amongst different clouds, portability, protection of data in cloud environments, control of data distribution and latency, are all important aspects of Cloud Computing
Internet of Services
Advanced Research for Internet of Services focuses on the software and service engineering problems which are specific to the networked distributed dimension of software and the distributed access to services and data.
Advanced Software Engineering
Advanced Software Engineering includes outstanding problems in software and software-based services, like parallelization, multicore processing, verification / validation / evolution, run-time properties.
Together, the three lines of research will offer competitive environment for service providers, and will strengthen the European Software and Service industry.
Coordination and support actions
Coordination and support actions for standardization and collaboration, for maximisation of impact of projects and for application of Open Source models.
Collaboration with Japanese entities on: cloud computing, particularly on common standards for data portability and on interoperability; services having more efficient energy usage.
