Information Day on Objective 1.2 – Call 5 : Presentations
Presentations
Objective 1.2: Internet of Services, Software and Virtualisation has two main research lines (target outcomes) and coordination and support actions.

Service Platforms for the Future Internet
The rapid development of the Internet, both in speed and in capabilities, will create a whole new and innovative market of services providing a new experience to users. The everyday life of citizens and workers of all types will be supported by new convergent services of the Future Internet that can also sense and react to the physical world. The research area «Service Architectures and Platforms for the Future Internet» should provide a basis for the creation of this innovative market of services.
Highly Innovative Service/Software engineering
The second area of research should result in new technologies and new
research lines that will make this innovative service market highly reliable and
dynamic. Dynamicity implies that decisions that in the traditional soft ware
life cycle were made at design time, will be made at run time. Also verification
and validation methods need to be rethought in order to deal with a dynamic,
open service market.
Together, the two pillars of research will offer a competitive environment for
service providers, and will strengthen the European Soft ware and Service
industry.
Coordination and support actions
Coordination and support actions for standardization and collaboration, for maximisation of impact of projects and for application of Open Source models.
