The Unit of Networked Media Systems is managing the Networked Media and Search Systems objective under ICT Theme of FP7. In this context, the Unit is organising the 6th FP7 Concertation Meeting in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday, 29 and 30 November 2010.
The 6th FP7 Concertation Meeting in Brussels aims to bring together the ongoing FP7 projects funded under the Networked Media and Search Systems objective and facilitate exchange of results and achievements, and build consensus. The Unit's projects are organised into four clusters: 3D Immersive Interactive Media (3DIIM), Future Media Networks (FMN), Media Search (MS) and User Centric Media (UCM).

Objectives

To set up a framework of cooperation among Networked Media projects and to facilitate programme management by the Commission Services.

To contribute to the successful completion and to enhance the dissemination efforts of the projects

To support the ongoing FP7 projects in sharing their latest research achievements

To enhance the project cooperation activities, share best practices and opportunities for standardisation

Set future activities and topics of common interest for each cluster

To facilitate networking and discussion among the participants
