Köln 2007:: IDEAL-IST
NCP - Ideal-IST Project
The aim of the Ideal-IST project is to reduce the barriers faced by
organisations wishing to participate in the ICT priority within the
7th Framework Programme by
supporting a transnational partner search mechanism.
The project provides an entirely web-based platform and thus making it the ideal
tool for:
- joining ICT projects
- finding partners/coordinator for your project idea
- finding services to support you in your ICT project within the 7th European Research Framework Programme.
Newcomers need partners for their project ideas or have to identify forming
consortia in order to take part in ICT calls. Idealist addresses this problem by
providing a proven partner search mechanism and operates on the following key
elements:
- It operates with specific proposal ideas, rather than generally advertising research capability.
- It is tightly supervised in that each proposed search is reviewed prior to being published by the National expert and checked for applicability and basic correctness.
- It is proactive in seeking out potential partners, rather than simply storing them in a database, waiting to be discovered by a surfer.
- It targets the Challenges of the ICT Priority and is call-specific.
- It is supported locally by staff who can help formulate the search and ensure that searches reach the right types of organisations.
By using Ideal-IST, your project idea will be distributed to over 55.000 international contacts interested in the ICT Programme.
Our network provides appropriate partners within weeks - or even days - with a
success rate of almost 100% and an average of 36 responses per partner search!
The Ideal-ist project is part-funded by the European Commission under the IST
Priority in FP6.
