ICT 2010 :: Exhibition :: Call
Evaluation of proposed exhibits
The ICT 2010 Exhibition will cover over 5000 square meters and will showcase concrete ICT research results, as well as close to market projects. Hundreds of proposals from potential exhibitors have been received and are currently being evaluated. The results of the evaluation will be published shortly.
The exhibition space will comprise six main areas:- ICT Research and deployment projects, with high-tech prototype demonstrators
- Information stands: about ICT-related activities (without technology prototypes);
- Success stories: small and medium-sized enterprises
- Success stories International: Successful initiatives in international research and technology projects,together with information stands of third countries or regions (EU-Associated Countries and other collaborating nations outside the EU)
- Belgian National Pavilion
- the European Commission stand.
What we are looking for in our exhibits
The research, technology and deployment exhibits should:- present applications targetting interested non-specialists. Participants can show future visions as well as concrete results from recent R&D and application work. Technical details should be made available only as background information;
- contain strong visual aspects and, if possible, allow hands-on experiences for visitors. Exhibits should be based on objects, artifacts and applied technologies which largely tell their own story;
- be attractive and captivating, not based purely on poster and screen display. Posters should only be used as eye-catchers, with textual content minimized. Physical 3D elements and originality will be taken into consideration for selection. Mobility of the demonstration will also be a criterion for selection.
What happens next?
