Exhibition proposals - selection criteria
Following evaluation of a large number of exhibition proposals, the following list of selected exhibits . Below are the criteria used for evaluating and selecting exhibition proposals.

| 1. Visual impact | What does the exhibit look like? Is it computer-based or a stand-alone prototype/product? |
| 2. Interactive | How does the visitor/exhibitor interact with the demonstration? |
| 3. Ease of comprehension | How easy is it to understand what is going on? |
| 4. Maturity | Is the prototype ready to be exhibited? Can it be shown outside the laboratory? |
| 5. Visitor experience/originality | What exactly will you show the visitors and how would the visitor experience your exhibit? What type of activities can he/she perform? What is original about the exhibit? |
| 6. Innovation | How high-tech/innovative is the exhibit? |
| 7. Success story | How good are your prospects or results? (in terms of market of development/employment etc...) Where do you see your research behind your exhibit in 5 years from now? |
| 8. Experience sharing |
Which role did you play in the EU project (technology provider,
research provider, users/early adopter…)? Have you been involved in the EU project mainly for funding, for partnership, for testing technology, or for other reasons? Description of the link with the EU programme as part of your success story. How could your experience motivate other SMEs or future entrepreneurs to participate in EU-funded ICT activities? |
- The importance of each criterion may vary depending on the village concerned (e.g. SME village or information stands). The visual aspect, interactivity and ease of comprehension will play a key role for the research and technology stands.
- The Commission will select a sample among the best proposals, taking into account the need to ensure a good coverage of various experiences and of technical fields.
- The Commission strongly encouraged exhibit proposers to suggest links to videos , which can be used to promote the ICT Event and exhibits. Candidates were therefore made aware that by submitting videos, they acknowledged that the Commission is entitled to link to those videos from the ICT 2010 website.
- One of the event's themes as well as a Belgium presidency priority is sustainable growth. The evaluation committee will therefore take into account efforts to make project 'greener'.
