Prize winners - for best exhibits, ICT 2008

FIRST PRIZE:

Health-e-Child won the ICT 2008 Exhibit Grand Prize worth €10,000, donated by sponsors HP. This project uses grid ‘supercomputing’ technology to connect and inform paediatrics healthcare professionals.

 

 

 

 

 


 

Second Prize: HoloVizio    Third Prize: u-2010

SECOND PRIZE: HoloVizio, by Holografika, won €3,000, donated by sponsors Nokia for their pioneering 3-D display system.

THIRD PRIZE: u-2010, a system for providingcrucial data to emergency services at disaster sites.

A beautiful trophy was also awarded
to each of the three winners.

Selection procedure:

1.Visitors' vote

Three voting tickets, each with a unique code, were allocated to each delegate with their badges at registration. Each voting codes could be used to vote for an exhibit via this website.

The electronic voting closed on Wednesday 26th November at 18:00.

2. Final selection

Following the delegate voting, the 10 exhibits with the most votes were evaluated by a committee of EC Officials.  This evaluation produced the final ranking.

Award ceremony

Prize and trophies were awarded in the auditorium on Thursday, 27th November, 15.15-16.30.
