Student reporters for ICT 2008

Volunteer postgraduate students in ICT subjcts will report on conference sessions at ICT 2008. Their reports will be published on the ICT 2008 website after the Event.

A number of the students concerned come from major French ICT centres such as the Lyon and Grenoble areas. These regions host several competitiveness clusters which bring together major industries, higher education institutions and research bodies in key ICT fields such as micro and nanotechnologies, software, video games and digital animation. (A number of guided visits to these technological sites have been organised in conjunction with ICT 2008 - see organised visits).

Other student reporters will come from ICT research centres right across Europe.   These centres are involved in EU-funded projects whose main objective is to build networks of excellence to integrate ICT research at EU level.

The students will have the opportunity to meet and discuss with conference speakers and organisers.

Dane-Elec's Z-Pen: ideal for notetaking!

Our sponsor, Dane-Elec, will provide the student volunteers with "z-pens", allowing them to take handwritten notes which are stored digitally within the pen, and which can then be transferred directly to computers.  Z-pen is also on display in the Exhibition hall at booth E.04.
