Upon arrival at Prague Ruzyne Airport
Upon arrival at Prague Ruzyne Airport, delegates can make their way to
one of two FET09 Airport Conference Desks.
FET09 Airport Conference Desks
The FET09 Conference Desks are located in the airport hall by exit from customs at Terminal North I and Terminal North II. The Conference Desks will be open on April 20, 2009, from 8:00 to 22:00.
Getting from the airport to the hotel and conference site
Various options exist to get from the airport to the hotel and conference site, as follows:
- Cab-stands at Prague Ruzyne Airport. Cab-stands are located directly in front of arrival halls Terminal 1 - exit D and Terminal 2 - exit E and operate 24-hour. The starting rate is CZK 40, 1 km one-way in Prague CZK 40, waiting rate for 1 min CZK 5). Telephone numbers of AAA Radiotaxi Company - 14 0 14 ; 222 333 222 ; 602 331 133.
- CEDAZ shuttle vans run every 30 minutes from 06:00 to 21:00 between the airport and the city centre (NAMESTI REPUBLIKY) for 120 CZK or to metro (DEJVICKA) for 90 CZK. It takes about 30 minutes and the van is comfortable. Tickets are available on board. We recommend taking door-to-door service for 1-4 persons for a fixed price of 480 CZK for one way. The CEDAZ stand is located just in front of the Airport arrival halls.
- City Transport Authority (MHD). Don't forget to buy a 26 CZK ticket from the
news-stand or from the yellow machine at the airport). You should also buy and
validate an 18 CZK ticket for any suitcase.
For transport from Prague airport to Clarion Congress Hotel Prague is recommended to use: Bus No. 100 runs between the airport and metro station ZLICIN (yellow line - B): Terminal North 1 – Terminal North 2 – ZLIČÍN – journey time is 19 minutes. These buses run approx. every 15 minutes from about 4:30am to 11:30pm. The metro yellow line “B” will get you directly to Vysocanska station, journey time from Zlicin to Vysocanska station is 33 minutes, total time from Airport Prague to Vysocanska station is approx. 60 minutes, you need CZK 26 ticket. or Bus No 119 runs (approx every 15 minutes from 4:30 am to 11:30 pm) between the airport and metro station DEJVICKA (119 - LETISTE RUZYNE - DEJVICKA (Metro station) green line “A” - it takes about 25 minutes) suitable for metro transfer to the Clarion Congress Hotel in Praha Vysocany. You will need to transfer on metro station MUSTEK to yellow line “B” in direction to CERNY MOST and get of at Vysocanska station – This journey time with changing from line A to line B is 27 minutes, total time from Prague airport to Vysocanska station is approx. 60 minutes, you need CZK 26 ticket.
Arrival by train
- From the Main Railway Station (Praha-Hlavni nadrazi) to FET2009, use Metro C (red line) station HLAVNI NADRAZIdirection LADVI, change at FLORENC (1 stop) into metro “B” (yellow line) direction CERNY MOST until the VYSOCANSKA station, you need CZK 26 ticket.
- From the Holesovice Railway Station (NADRAZI HOLESOVICE) to FET2009, use Metro C (red line) station HOLESOVICE direction ZLICIN, change at FLORENC (2 stops) into metro “B” (yellow line) direction CERNY MOST until the VYSOCANSKA station, you need CZK 26 ticket.

Getting around Prague
Excellent public transportation in Prague is provided by metro (subway), trams, and buses from 5 a.m. till midnight, and by night trams (non-stop). Tickets can be bought in yellow sales machines (at the airport, in each metro station) or at newsstands for CZK 26 (valid transfer 75 minutes ticket) or CZK 18 (non-transferable tickets valid 20 minutes).A one day card can be purchased for 100 CZK, a three-day card for 330 CZK and a five-day card for 500 CZK.
