Exhibition
The conference was complemented by a large scale exhibition of around 100
stands. Throughout 15,000 square meters, delegates were able to "touch & feel" a range of technologies and solutions currently on
the market and in development to support user needs as well as sharing
experiences with successful initiatives from across Europe.

The Exhibition Opening Ceremony took place on Sunday November 30th at 12:30, Minister Besson and Minister Silhavy cut the ribbon (see picture). It was followed by a press walkabout. The exhibition was open until Tuesday December 2nd at 14.00.

European Commission stand
At the European Commission stand, delegates could see a variety of initiatives
stimulating action in e-Inclusion, from personal experience demonstrated in
Digital Diaries, to dedicated community portals. Read more

The Experience Space
It consisted of 2 areas:
2. A smart home installation to illustrate Independent Living solutions
The Digital Story Gallery
A gallery where real people talked about their personal experience with ICT.
The story lines of eight different aspects and target groups of e-Inclusion was displayed on video screens.
The e-Inclusion theatre
'Meet Martha and Joe', an elderly couple living in the smart home or help 'the lady who left her glasses in the taxi' catch her plane!
Two Interactive Theatre plays that reveal in a witty way how ICTs can help in finding your way... or get in the way...
The Country Pavilions
Member States stands showcasing supporting initiatives, offering exhibition gadgets and documents, and providing space for informal meetings.
Commercial and NGO stands
Area for companies and NGOs to showcase their
products, services and activities.
