The convergence between broadcasting and e-communications is creating new exciting services for consumers. Mobile television and multimedia services are the next frontier. The success of these services in the EU depends on several factors, including spectrum availability, a favourable regulatory environment, interoperable technologies which can work across national borders and attractive content and applications. The European Commission has been working together with industry and national administrations on a pan-European strategy for mobile TV.
