FAQ on e-Government benchmarking
Benchmarking of the eEurope 2005 Action Plan is based on a series of indicators defined in the eEurope Council Resolution. The majority of these indicators are measured in the Household and Enterprise surveys carried out by the National Statistical Agencies and co-ordinated by Eurostat. Results for the 2004 surveys are now available from the New Chronos database which can be accessed from the eurostat web site. The indicators are in the SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY section under INFORMATION SOCIETY STATISTICS, in the sub-section called policy indicators. Data for 2002 and 2003 is also available here but not all member states have participated in the surveys.
