Accelerating e-commerce

E-commerce changes the way that companies operate and consumers purchase. To realise the Internal Market for e-commerce, eEurope proposes to adopt e-commerce legislation and promote self-regulation, establish electronic marketplaces for public procurement and encourage SMEs to "Go Digital".

What has been done so far?

Progress on all action lines of eEurope is monitored has been monitored at three levels - progress at EU level, progress at Member State level and data collection in the context of benchmarking. Progress reports by Community institutions and Member States have been updated end of 2001.
