Participation for all in the knowledge-based economy

To achieve the 'Information Society for all', people with special needs need to have the best possible access to information technologies. eEurope proposes several actions to promote "Design for all" approaches and the adoption of the Web Accessibility Initiative guidelines for public websites.

What has been done so far?

Progress on all action lines of eEurope is monitored has been monitored at three levels - progress at EU level, progress at Member State level and data collection in the context of benchmarking. Progress reports by Community institutions and Member States have been updated end of 2001.
