The Digital Agenda for Europe is the European Union's road map for bringing the benefits of a digital society and economy to Europe's citizens. But it can only deliver if all stakeholders are involved in assessing problems and identifying solutions.
The main objectives of the Assembly were to:
The European Commission therefore invited a broad range of participants from industry, the research community and NGOs, as well as representatives from Member State governments, and the other EU institutions to assess progress in meeting the targets of the Digital Agenda. This, first Digital Agenda Assembly took place in Brussels on 16th and 17th June 2011.
The Assembly was a mixture of workshops, designed to identify solutions to specific challenges and plenary sessions designed to synthesise the discussions and identify the way forward. View the full programme online or download it here (pdf, 1MB).
