Calls for tenders

When the Commission needs to acquire a certain type of services, a call for tenders is launched.

Available funding

The total available amount for calls for tenders is set for each open call and announced in the tender specifications.

Who can submit a proposal?

In open calls for tender anyone can submit an offer within the established deadline. Open calls for tenders are published on the Internet and in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Study on benchmarking of parental control tools for the online protection of children - SIP-Bench III (SMART 2012/0044)

The main aim of this study is to help end users (notably parents and child carers) to choose the most appropriate parental control tool that best fits their news, by providing expert assessments of products, tools and other systems and services that allow users to control children's access to inappropriate content online.

Please note that the deadline for submission of offers is 18 July 2012.

In the specific area of parental control tools, the Commission is currently funding another study under the Safer Internet programme (2009-2013) which aims at "Benchmarking of filtering software and services" (SIP-BENCH II)
