Privacy statement for applicants under the Safer Internet Programme calls for proposals

  1. Data processing of your proposal


Your proposal contains personal data. This is collected and further processed by the Commission for the purposes detailed hereafter under point 2 in accordance with the Regulation (EC) 45/2001, of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data. The relevant processing operations thereof are under the responsibility of the Head of the Unit “IST operations", Directorate “Lisbon Strategy and Policies for the Information Society”, Directorate-General Information Society and Media.

  1.  What personal information do we collect, for what purpose and through which technical means?


Identification Data

The personal data collected and further processed concern the contact person for the project and it is necessary for communication purposes. Information is collected by filling the necessary forms, and they are:

  1. Who has access to your information and to whom is it disclosed?


For the purposes detailed above, access to your personal data is given to the following persons, without prejudice to a possible transmission to the bodies in charge of a monitoring or inspection task in accordance with Community law:
 

  1. How do we protect and safeguard your information?


The collected personal data and all related information is stored after call closure on servers of the Commission's computer centre, of either DG DIGIT or the DG issuing the call. The operations of all computer centres abide by the Commission's security decisions and provisions established by the Directorate of Security for this kind of servers and services.

  1. How can you verify, modify or delete your information?


In case you wish to verify which personal data is stored on your behalf by the responsible controller, have it modified, corrected, or deleted, please send an e-mail to the functional mailbox address mentioned hereafter under "Contact Information", by explicitly describing your request. Any correction of your personal data will be taken into consideration from the data protection point of view, and it will not affect the evaluation of your proposal.

Special attention is drawn to the consequences of a request for deletion, when possible (e.g. not before the end of the retention period in the case of an amendment to a contract, while all previous versions are archived), in which case any trace to be able to contact you will be lost.

  1. How long do we keep your data?


For organisations retained for funding and grant agreement, personal data are kept for the longer one of the possible following periods:

For any questions related to your rights, feel free to contact the Controller, by using the contact information mentioned in the Call or in the Grant Agreement, and by explicitly specifying your request.

Any information relating to the process of your personal data is detailed in the register of the data protection officer of the European commission

  1. Recourse


Complaints, in case of conflict, can be addressed to the European Data Protection Supervisor.
