Improving usability and accessibility

The Tenuta usability and accessibility support site contains information about usability and accessibility for eTEN projects.

Usability contributes to accomplishing business goals and is about making products and systems easier to use; matching them more closely to user needs and requirements.

Accessibility is about making sure the broadest range of people, with the broadest range of abilities and disabilities can use your site or product. In particular it helps make websites and online services easier for people with disabilities and elderly people to access and use.

As coordinator of the Tenuta project, the University of York will continue to maintain the Tenuta web site with advice on how to improve usability and accessibility, many useful links, relevant FAQs and a number of interesting case studies from the Tenuta project.
