ELAN will set up and validate an e-learning marketplace in selected European countries (Poland, Germany, and the United Kingdom), connecting different e-learning concepts, users and suppliers in innovative ways on www.columbus-portal.eu.

EU Tube – Sharing the sights and sounds of Europe on YouTube
The European Commission has launched a dedicated channel on YouTube to increase the visibility of its audiovisual material. This initiative reflects the Commission's commitment to better explain its policies and actions surrounding the daily concerns of citizens across the EU. EU Tube will benefit from YouTube's technical platform; using freely available software which makes it possible for all users to view video clips easily. Press release.

EU-Pay: EU-Pay’s objective is to provide a multi-channel, Europe-wide, payment collection mechanism for public authorities, which integrates seamlessly with existing payment methods.

SEMOPS
SEMOPS introduces a real time electronic payment service with 6 payment processors in four countries. Various payment transaction types will be introduced, mobile and internet ones, both on local and international level.

The PROCURE inter-regional network project aims at enabling electronic bids for public procurement procedure, through a safe and intuitive web site. By strengthening access to information and making direct e-tendering and e-bidding possible, these interregional platforms will simplify both the work of persons in charge of public procurement and that of local economic operators - especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs) - with public bodies.

The eParticipate project was chosen to webcast the Riga Ministerial Conference, 11-13 June 2006, including presentations from Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society & Media, Dr.Vaira Vike-Freiberga, President of the Republic of Latvia, and a number of other Government Ministers.
