eParticipate

eParticipate is a web-based eService of existing “best of breed” applications (called Public-i) that enable public bodies to engage citizens in the democratic process, particularly at local level which is most immediately relevant to citizens’ lives.

Eurogene

Eurogene Project will address health care issues through a special online e-service in Europe. The service will screen pre-symptomatic, higher risk patients (e.g. hypertensive), and will identify through genetics and environmental analysis the preventive interventions to reduce danger factor levels; people who require medical care will be given diet/lifestyle advice and will be prescribed suitable medication when appropriate.

Wesign

Wesign - implemented by Chambers of Commerce in 9 countries – aims at enhancing the access of SMEs to digital certificates. These certificates allow SMEs to sign documents electronically or to access eGovernment services.

InLOT

The project “In the Lab of Tomorrow” aims at investigating the feasibility of a successful and innovative service for science teaching and learning as a business case. The project looks upon informal science education as an opportunity to transcend from traditional classroom based teaching, to a “feel and interact” user experience, allowing for learning “anytime, anywhere”.

BLOOM

BLOOM or Bite-sized Learning Opportunities On Mobiles aims to deliver workplace training for the logistics and passenger transport sectors in contextualised basic skills using a variety of mobile phone technologies. It addresses the findings of recent studies that identified wide-scale basic skills shortages and the negative impact of this on the industries and the individual.

EuroMuse.net

Euromuse.net is a public access portal providing multilingual information on museums and their exhibitions throughout Europe. euromuse.net offers both, a ‘one-stop’ web tool to the greatest exhibitions in Europe for the public as well as a special data interface called Harmonise to deliver structured data from the museums for the tourism sector.

i-Set

The i-SeT service is an integrated internet based tool-set that targets the integration of the value chain of SMHOs by supporting their management activities and providing specific services for specific actors, namely: customers, employers, other SMHOs, hoteliers, public authorities and the wider public. Under the Market Validation phase the project has planned to validate the service in 4 different geographical segments in 4 European countries.

DeployPromis

deployPROMIS aims at providing European SME's and consultants with tailored business services and eTraining in the field of Environment, Health&Safety and Quality (EHS-Q). PROMIS® will support them in complying with the complex legal, commercial and social requirements at national and international level and therefore strengthening their competitive advantage at an affordable price.

Drugcheck

The objective of the DRUGCHECK project is to validate an on-line, pan-European service, which gathers, organises, stores, makes available and presents information and data covering pharmaceuticals and their interactions. The service provides a user-friendly, reliable, intelligent and fast mechanism to accept questions and advanced queries, process them and offer accurate answers justified with the relevant bibliography, in order to assist healthcare professionals in making the proper decisions on medication prescriptions and pharmaceutical treatments both in and out of the hospital without interrupting healthcare delivery.

Myotel

The Myotel project investigates the feasibility of the deployment of a prototype myofeedback based tele-treatment service that enables subjects with neck shoulder complaints to receive personalised and remotely supervised treatment during their daily activities.

Safe Chemo

In the critical area of cancer care SafeChemo increases chemotherapy safety by introducing automation - from e-prescription to robotics assisted preparation of therapy doses. Safechemo also aims at providing all the required process validation, reengineering and training expertise to ensure a better healthcare quality level for cancer patients.

Village

VILLAGE will support the pan-European initial deployment of a cooperative Customer Relationship management (CRM) service for SME, which allows for access to and share of relevant customer’s data and marketing, sales and customer support processes within SME networks. This service is already available in Germany. VILLAGE will support the participation of SME communities in the global e-business economy providing an adapted access to CRM services.

Innovall

Innovall aims to provide cost-effective search of patent databases through a userfriendly web site. It will allow the research of patents, trademarks, and designs rights in a simple and affordable manner, providing an alternative for organizations – especially SMEs – that need to consult such information but often have few effective ways to do so.

ClearView

ClearView is an ‘SME single window’ – a low-cost web-based service for SMEs which provides a single location where customs and regulatory documentation can be generated and stored, and from where it can be submitted to several agencies. This saves time and increases the accuracy of trade documents for use in the international transport of goods.

Procure

PROCURE aims at enabling electronic bids for public procurement procedure, through a safe and intuitive web site. By strengthening access to information and making direct e-tendering and e-bidding possible, it will simplify both the work of persons in charge of public procurement and that of local economic operators - especially SMEs - with public bodies.

eMarks

eMARKS aims to market validate and initially deploy a service that will optimise the Trademarks and Industrial Designs protection by offering a reliable, effective and user-focused search service, based on images and augmented with natural language and multi-lingual semantic indications on the categories of interest.

Cidre

CIDRE aims at introducing "mobile citizen services" in the trans-European market. Mobile citizen services may be provided at locations like neighbourhood centres, libraries, hospitals or shopping malls by civil servants, using mobile equipment with wireless networks. Taking into consideration local conditions and requirements, pilot trials with mobile equipment will be carried out in various test regions in Sweden, Estonia, and the Netherlands.

Social Village

Social Village aims at providing European Social Districts with a unique gateway. It wants to promote an easier, direct access to social e-services for the citizens who need them (elderly people, disabled, immigrants) and a cross-border co-operation between the welfare workers and their customers, in order to satisfy their increasing mobility needs in tourism, jobs, healthcare and social integration. It is a project of market validation of Lamiacittà Servizi Soci@li.

Tell-Me

“Democratising Living Labs Innovation in Europe”: this is the ultimate goal of the TELL ME project initiative, aimed at deploying a pan-European service infrastructure for a “smart & easy” setup, maintenance and assessment of Living Lab trials in (and beyond) the areas of e-Government, e-Democracy and e-Services.

R-Bay

The R-Bay project aims at establishing an online marketplace within the field of radiology, i.e. an eMarketplace for the buying and selling of imaging related eHealth services. R-Bay paves the way for the creation of an internal market for exchanging eHealth services and this will lift the sharing of healthcare resources to a new dimension within a pan-European scope.

Netc@rds

The NETC@RDS initiative is devoted to establish new improved health care administration services for mobile citizens across the EU. The actual phase aims at deploying e-health services via the European Health Insurance Card through a wide trans-European network simplifying health care access procedures. NETC@RDS successfully tested the electronic version of the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) during its first and second Market Validation phases. The Initial Deployment phase of the project - launched on 1 June 2007 - will deploy operational services in all targeted sites, to a total of 305 service sites serving 566 service points across the participating countries.

GuideStar Europe

GuideStar provides an online, highly searchable catalogue of reports on the civil society organisations (CSOs) operating in a country, enabling organisations to communicate their work effectively and easily to national and international audiences. The GuideStar Europe project will assess the feasibility of implementing GuideStar in four European countries as well as a pilot European portal site.

DAD

The digital-aided guide for fathers-to-be is a free online service which deals in a playful way with the basics of baby care, health and safety. It is exclusively developed for men’s needs and aims at motivating fathers-to-be to actively participate in infant care.

BETTER BREATHING

Better Breathing will re-configure the care pathway for managing patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) by implementing ICT (Information and Communication Technology) supported home hospital services. The potential is two-fold: clinical improvements (better care pathway) and economical gain (more cost-efficient care).

EuroPriSe

A consortium of eight European organisations and enterprises lead by the Independent Centre for Privacy Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ICPP/ULD) combined forces to gather the requirements for a European Privacy Seal. Role model for the project is the Privacy Seal (Datenschutz-Guetesiegel) Schleswig-Holstein. The legally based privacy certificate, yet unique within Europe, has successfully been established particularly on the German market since 2000 and has in the meantime been awarded to approx. 40 products. In the future, the European Privacy Seal is to certify that IT products and services comply with European legislation, in particular with the 1998 Data Protection Directive.

Caselex

In June 2007 Caselex s.a.r.l has launched Europe’s premier Internet service offering national and European court cases linked to EU law. The initial offering covers intellectual property law, labour law, competition law and company law. Its cases cover the Supreme Courts of the EU Member States and the EFTA Member States. The European Court of Justice, the European Court of First Instance and the EFTA Court of Justice will follow suit.

FAST

The FAST eTEN project will help the deployment of telecommunication-network services within Europe through a platform, making document exchange easier between citizens and different administration authorities.

SEMOPS II

The Secure Mobile Payment Service International Introduction (SEMOPS II.) Market Validation project has the objective to introduce the SEMOPS real time electronic payment service with 6 payment processors in four countries and to evaluate the service both as local operations and as an international payment network. Various payment transaction types will be introduced, mobile and internet ones, both on local and international level. The project workplan includes market research, financial and business modeling and the preparation of the necessary legal framework for the operation.

Job-Rotation

Job Rotation is a training service where the unemployed are trained continuously in order to replace employees in SMEs when they have to leave their job for training courses. The system also offers a dynamic online e-learning platform. The Job Rotation project integrates and coordinates Job-Rotation Activities within an on-line platform. Job Rotation will validate the market in five European countries (Greece, Germany, Italy, Poland and Slovenia).

WISE-UP

The WISE-UP project will test and validate on different European markets an innovative service for ‘mobile workers’ which provides bi-directional access from mobile terminals to technical data such as datasheets, technical reports and digital maps. The service will be tested in a telecommunications maintenance environment where maintenance engineers are working at customers' sites and need real-time access to technical information and the location of technical equipment in the field.

NavigAbile

NavigAbile is an internet-based system aimed to provide an innovative way to access web content to children and youths affected by motor, mental and communicational disabilities. It offers a cluster of telecommunication services designed, on one side, to enhance web interface and content accessibility and, on the other, to supply communication and relation tools.

Paysafecard

Paysafecard, a highly successful online payment system in Austria and Germany, stands out for its ease of use and fraud-free security features. Paysafecard enables online purchasing without the need to divulge any personal data, whilst using a prepaid PIN code to validate transactions. Now this payment service shall be implemented throughout Europe.

Autotronics

The Autotronics (Blended learning service imparting automotive and electronics competencies for car garages and mechanics with Europe-wide accepted certificates) service will address the current and anticipated skill shortages of car mechanics and employees in car garages. It will offer specifically blended learning courses tailored to the needs of small and medium sized car garages and car mechanics. The courses will be adapted to local requirements, allow self-guided learning to be completed at the learner´s own pace, be up to date and highly practical, contain interactive multimedia elements and take into account the characteristics and styles of adult learners. Additionally, all courses will include final examinations rewarding successful participants with a certificate.

ePrescript

The ePrescript project offers the possibility to health care professionals to compose prescriptions on-line, using an updated drug database as well as tools enabling drug decision support: dosage, drug-drug interaction control, equivalence search, offering at the same time access to scientific background information and patient notices.

Wings

Wings is an easy to use and efficient service used on board, aiming at implementing an efficient decision support tool for seamless access to real-time weather information and so permitting re-routing and operational decision making. Target market sections include terminals and ports, maritime passenger operators, such as high speed ships and cruise ships, crews, passengers, pleasure boats, fishermen as well as the general public.

RISERid

The Registry Information Service on European Residents (RISER Service) is an eGovernment Service facilitating the retrieval of information from official population registers for the purpose of cross-border address verification via Internet. The service is supplied by national or local authorities with data from population registers all over Europe. The Initial Deployment project RISERid aims at initially rolling out the RISER Service in Europe based on the result of the Market Validation Projects RISER and RISERac.

MEMO

Tourism is the first service activity in Europe, representing 12 million jobs. Facing competition and concentration, it is not organised like other industries. MEMO creates a network of public authorities, tourism industry SMEs, history professionals and tourists, to facilitate the organisation of secure, quality, dynamic packages.

EU PAY

The EU-Pay service will provide a multichannel, Europe-wide, payment collection mechanism for public authorities, which integrates seamlessly with existing payment methods. Its usage does not require any specialist knowledge, the underlying system is completely transparent and it will make a significant contribution to improving Accessibility for All and reducing the Digital Divide.

ICARE

ICARE aims at market-validating an e-Service improving the mobility and autonomy of patients carrying diseases whose diagnosis and follow-up are based mainly on auscultation (Cystic Fibrosis and similar respiratory pathologies or chronic heart pathologies and similar).

EuroWorksafe

“European Semantic Portal on Workplace Safety”
The EuroWorksafe portal provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary information and consultancy on occupational cancer to citizens, workers, companies, SMEs and organisations in Europe. EuroWorksafe aims to increase risk awareness, support mitigation measures and contribute to the reduction of occupational cancer incidence.

W-SPES

The objective of the W-SPES (Setting Processes for Electronic Signature) project is to accelerate the take-up by administrations of digital signatures. The project aims to build on the work carried out in the SPES project and create a common standard for the use of digital signatures throughout Europe.

EUROWEX

EUROWEX provides an Internet based service to university professors which helps them to keep track of the performance of their students throughout the academic year. All data is entered with the use of a digital signature and therefore its correctness is entirely the responsibility of the professor. Eurowex will be a tool to manage paperless processes for exams and the administrative aspects of university lectures.

ETN

ETN aims at the deployment of eServices for electronic customs clearance procedures in the EU. The ETN services will extend the national-level services to a trans-European level, allowing traders and forwarders to communicate with customs administrations in other countries.

Linkcare

LINKCARE aims at offering a viable, innovative, integrated health care service for chronic patients, providing appropriate support to health professionals in their activity (monitoring and management) and to pave the way for the implementation of new care models.

Billing4Rent

Billing4Rent offers outsourced customer care and billing solutions to Fixed Wire, Wireless, VoIP, ISP and Cable TV providers. The solution uses “Software as a Service” (SaaS) to reduce implementation times from months to days. The Billing4Rent internet-based user interface ensures that you can access the system from anywhere and the user friendly front-end makes you immediately productive on the system. The Billing4Rent vision is for all businesses to have access to the highest quality back-office applications.

Optipark

OPTIPARK aims at enhancing urban mobility and optimising the usage of parking space by launching an innovative implementation of parking web services. By offering and managing a whole parking service network, the project will - besides more efficient usage of available capability - also allow integrating parking services into other business activities (i.e. of hotels,theatres or cinemas).

EULIS PLus

The EULIS Plus project aims to expand the Eulis service, which provides cross-boarder Internet access to land and property ownership data, to five new European Member States

ATTENTIANET

Attentianet provides advanced broadband-based eInclusion voice and video assistance with integrated mobile location and multimedia applications. This solution foresees to improve the quality of life of seniors and people with limited mobility abilities.

mMAG

The Trans-European Mobile Publishing Service for European SMEs (mMAG) allows SMEs to create and publish content for mobile devices, as well as allowing operators, through the use of this service, to offer numerous SME services across their networks.

LIVERDOC

The DOC service is a doctor-to-doctor interaction between a physician and a centre of expertise. The DOC service replaces unstructured exchange of patient information between doctors via e-mail or telephone, and offers physicians structured access to patient-tailored, up-to-date evidence-based and expert-approved information.

ELEONET

ELEONET aims at creating a European metadata repository of educational materials through implementing a specific Digital Object Identifier application profile for Learning objects. This will facilitate the search and access of European Learning Objects.

eBRASS

The eBRASS project aims at making music scores more easily and quickly accessible to blind and partially sighted people (being them music students, professional or amateur musicians) as well as to music teachers and schools who deal with visually impaired students, who can read braille.

eRMIONE

eRMIONE delivers European cultural heritage materials to online courses to bring enriched cultural exchanges to students from different countries. The e- Learning Resource Management tools benefit student learning and allow for more trans-European cooperation.

e-SeSME

e-SeSME brings high-quality, specialised online services to the plastics industry to help improve the development and innovation potential of European companies, especially small and medium-sized businesses.

HANDS

HANDS increases the ease and efficiency which citizens and businesses can use information on Public Bodies’ websites by allowing them to search for answers and documentation in much the same way if they were dealing with a person by using advanced Natural Language Processing techniques.

ParkService

ParkService supports people with Parkinson's disease living at home through the use of media technologies that allow them to connect with medical professionals and other people with Parkinson's.

TOF-E

The Open Forum-Europe is dedicated to raising awareness of the performance and cost benefits that open source software brings to European private and public sector organisations. TOF-E will establish a series of portals to help guide users in selecting software that best suits their needs.

ENN-ICS

ENN-ICS helps people and medical professionals treat and better manage sleep disorders. Its interactive, multilingual website supports inclusive patient care while building a network of sleep disorder medical professionals across Europe.

TENUTA

TENUTA provides hands-on professional support to e-service projects that receive grants from the European Commission’s eTEN programme. TENUTA helps to make trans-European online public services easy to use for everyone. As a result, projects’ online services will have increased usability and impact.

EUROCET

EUROCET establishes a common registry for the collection of data on organ, tissue and cell donation and transplantation activities across multiple Member States. The online registry helps medical professionals improve patient care while also bringing about common standards within different regulatory and cultural environments.

RISERac

RISERac enables online requests for official address information across borders in a simple, safe and cost-effective way. The project streamlines address requests, one of the most used public administration services. RISERac builds on the success of RISER and extends the services at www.riser.eu.com to Estonia, Hungary and Poland.

InvestPromo

InvestPromo is a support action project that aims to develop and advance eTEN Projects within the realms of the European Investor, Venture Capital and Technology Community. It will stimulate and encourage the potential deployment of eTEN Projects by giving selected eTEN Project companies the opportunity to participate and present at Investment Events.

BIZMAP

BIZMAP.NET provides full cycle e-government services to business operators through the integration of a secure back-office framework with currently available front office access.

GEOCOMPASS

The GEOCOMPASS service will offer high quality GIS mapping solutions and infrastructure and marketing services to mountain and countryside tourism communities in Europe, with particular focus to tourism SMEs, to local and regional authorities, to development agencies and to local professional organisations.

Health-eLife

Health-eLife™, an EU E-Ten supported project, is exploring the implementation requirements of a new remote home care monitoring system designed to allow the management of patients suffering from chronic disease in their own homes. Across European member states, citizens suffering from chronic disease including Asthma, COPD, Blood Pressure, Diabetes and Heart Problems and their clinicians will receive help to simplify the complex management regimes currently deployed.

LIBER-IMMS

LIBER-IMMS plans to validate the use of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, together with web, email and SMS communication technologies, to improve the management of libraries, and to provide citizen innovative informative services within and outside the library rooms.

HELLODOC

The objective of the eTen HELLODOC project is to validate the HELLODOC home-based rehabilitation service for the functional recovery of the arm in Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis and Traumatic Brain Injury. The pilot service is currently implemented in three hospitals in Italy, Belgium and Spain.

EAL-NET

e-Recruitment Services
The EAL-NET project will demonstrate the economic sustainability and the viability of a new trans-national e-Recruitment service addressed to graduates and to businesses. Career info, provided by the Universities will be collected and enriched (with the contribution of the graduate himself) obtaining an effective dynamic CV. The EAL services will facilitate the placement of young graduates in the labour market and favour researcher mobility at a European level.

COLD-TRACE

COLD-TRACE: THE MOST COMPLETE SOLUTION FOR TRACEABILITY
Cold-Trace (Cold Chain Monitoring and Traceability Services) is a modular and flexible system for reducing operation costs and enabling a constant monitoring and control of the cold chain during transportation. It is a complete and integrated mobile solution, absolutely unique, offering the European enterprises and consumers a wide range of services for the traceability of the supply chain.

ORTHOSIM

ORTHOSIM: the European Simulation Service Provider (SSP) for Orthopaedic Surgery
Each year more than 600.000 knee, hip and spine surgical interventions requiring surgical implants are performed in Europe. A considerable amount of them are due to failures that could be prevented with a better preoperative analysis such as the one proposed by ORTHOSIM.

ESSeT

The EU project ESSeT (European Social Security electronic Tutor) provides a complete eLearning environment for the exchange and delivery of eLearning content.

e-COMODE

The e-COMODE eTEN project started in April 2005. e-COMODE offers schools an open digital learning environment, which assists young students in creating models. This computer-based environment supports students in expressing their ideas, building, designing and testing models of various situations with rich visualisation and simulation tools. Moreover, the e-COMODE eLearning Environment encourages and supports collaborative problem solving and online communication with peers and teachers, promoting the acquisition of these skills, which are also extremely important for the young students’ future.

CLINIC

Cardiovascular diseases are a leading cause of death in Europe accounting for over 4 million deaths each year. The care and treatment of cardiovascular disease therefore constitute a significant priority of the health care system of the European countries. The CLINIC service will present constantly updated knowledge linked to the cardiology field, by the active participation of European primary cardiology organizations and the pharmaceutical industry.

EURIDICE
 

The EURIDICE project will validate the sustainability of the EURIDICE service to establish the basis for its further deployment in the enlarged Union. The service will provide the educational institutions wide source content from cultural heritage sector institutions. EURIDICE is a combination of technical instruments, content, networking platforms and community of users and providers, who jointly aim at offering an open environment to the educational institutions in Europe.

INTERLIFE

INTERLIFE aims to validate the provision of new healthcare services, based on a technological platform, able to support an early discharge and a continuous home monitoring service, leading to a substantial reduction of the hospitalisation and to an increased effectiveness of healthcare service delivery.

PPP
 

Participants from administrations and the private sector are invited to take part in new working groups that will explore concrete ways of exchanging good practices between administrations. The PPP Support Action project - assisting e-Ten projects in reaching deployment - is part of a bigger set of initiatives that are currently run by the European Commission and its working groups such as the Good Practice Framework and are designed to move the eGovernment agenda forward by facilitating practical exchange of good practice.
