Implementing e-Inclusion initiatives

The European Commission’s ICT Policy Support Programme seeks to encourage innovation and competitiveness by improving the uptake of ICT by individuals, the public sector and businesses. The ICT PSP is part of the European Union’s Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) for 2007-13 and e-Inclusion is one of the priority work areas.

The ICT PSP helps the EU to implement its Digital Agenda For Europe and has a budget of about €820 million. Its key objective is to find solutions to problems that hamper Europe’s uptake of ICTs, in private homes, the commercial world as well as in the provision of public services.
