Showcasing eGovernment success

The success of eGovernment depends on efficient use of the new technologies.

Promoting the uptake of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) requires real-life examples to prove how well these new technologies work. EU-supported implementation projects do just that, helping to promote the delivery and roll-out of eGovernment solutions across the Union.

In the past, the eTen Trans-European eServices programme was in charge of funding projects related to the deployment of ICT services in the public interest. Since 2007, the programme ICT PSP (Policy Support Programme) is pursuing the same objective.  The projects funding under this programme are a direct and visible application of the European Commission investment in research.
