5th Ministerial eGovernment Conference 2009

19 - 20 November in Malmö, Sweden

On the eve of the conference, 18 November 2009, Member State ministers responsible for eGovernment will meet to agree on a Ministerial Declaration which intends to set out the path for the field of eGovernment up until 2015.

The conference is a major event during the Swedish Presidency and will attract approximately 1000 top-level stakeholders from around the world: government leaders and officials from national, regional and local levels, representatives from industry and civil society and experts in the field.


The conference programme consists of approximately 20 sessions revolving around the following political priorities:

• eGovernment empowering citizens and businesses
• eGovernment supporting the single market
• eGovernment enabling administrative efficiency and effectiveness

In addition to the conference, an exhibition will be organized which will display concrete eGovernment success stories, highlighting new and innovative developments in Europe. The best submissions in categories under  the political areas set out above will receive eGovernment awards on the first day of the conference.
