European broadband: investing in digitally driven growth

The European Union aims to have 100% broadband coverage by 2013, and to increase coverage bandwidth to 30 Mbps for all Europeans by 2020 with 50% or more of European households subscribing to internet connections above 100 Mbps.

This target is from the Digital Agenda for Europe, a flagship initiative of the Europe 2020 strategy for a smart, sustainable and inclusive economy.
