More than €15 million requested for CEF Telecom projects

INEA ceased operations on 31 March 2021. The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) was established on 1 April 2021 to take over its legacy portfolio as well as additional EU funding programmes.

The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) has received 36 project proposals (for the four call areas) by the 15 September 2016 deadline for the CEF Telecom 2016 second call, requesting more than €15 million in total EU funding. The total available budget for the call is €10.5 million. Evaluation of the project proposals with the help of external experts will start already next week.

 

The CEF Telecom 2016 second call (eDelivery, eIdentification & eSignature, European e-Justice Portal and Public Open Data) closed today, 15 September 2016 with INEA receiving 36 project proposals (breakdown below).

Admissibility and eligibility of the project proposals will now be checked and the proposals will then be evaluated against the specific award criteria of the calls.

The evaluation process, which will involve external experts, is expected to be concluded by February next year, when the final results will be announced.

 

Per call area, the breakdown of the submitted proposals (before eligibility checks) is as follows:

 

  • eDelivery: 9 proposals requesting €3,087,729 of €0.5 million of available funding (oversubscription rate: 6.18)

 

 

  • European e-Justice Portal: 10 proposals requesting €3,981,339 of €2 million of available funding (oversubscription rate: 1.99)

 

  • Public Open Data: 8 proposals requesting €4,145,082 of €3.5 million of available funding (oversubscription rate: 1.18)
