Horizon 2020: 26 transport projects selected for funding

INEA is planning to invest €165.51 million in European Mobility for Growth and Green Vehicles projects.

INEA has invited 26 project coordinators to prepare grant agreements for Horizon 2020 funding after today's positive selection decision by all EU Member States.  If successful, the projects are expected to be launched in autumn.

The selected Mobility for Growth projects are expected to develop innovative transport solutions in the field of aviation, improve transport infrastructure, as well as carry out research supporting policy making.  Projects on the use of alternative fuels, hybrid and electric vehicles, improved heavy duty vehicles, and fast charging infrastructure will be supported through the Green Vehicles call. 

78 proposals were submitted and 10 selected under the Mobility for Growth call, whereas the Green Vehicles call attracted 58 applicants, out of which 16 were selected for funding. External independent experts drawn from the European Commission's database evaluated all proposals.
