The eighth issue of the IDA eGovernment Newsletter provides high-level insight into some of the major recent e-government developments and issues.
The lead article of this edition is a contribution by Dutch Minister Thom C. de Graaf, in charge of Government Reform and e-government. In this article, Minister de Graaf explains the main aspects of the Netherlands' e-government programme and the priorities of the Dutch Presidency of the EU (July to December 2004) in this area.
Other topics addressed in this issue include the progress of e-government in the 10 new Member States of the EU, the E-Governance Academy set up by the Estonian Government, the Public Services Broker being built in Ireland, and the Citizen Portal recently unveiled in Portugal.
