Synergy12

The 12th issue of Synergy presents the results of the most recent survey regarding the progress made in the EU’s digital content industry.  The benefits of the new electronic tool – the Internal Market Information System (IMI) – developed by Commission are also being demonstrated. In the current issue the Director of Information Policy and Services at UK’s National Archives underlines the ways new technologies shape public services. Moreover steps taken and solutions proposed in this period towards the eProcurement, the European Interoperability Strategy and the eSignature and eIdentification are described; the approach to eGovernement data modeling is also highlighted.

On 28 November 2008 the European Commission adopted the "Action plan on eSignatures and eIdentification to facilitate the provision of cross-border public services in the Single Market". The action plan combines the work of the various European Commission services involved. It links several of IDABC's Security measures to the ongoing work regarding eSignatures and internal market instruments.
