Prevention, Preparedness and Consequence Management of Terrorism and other Security-related risks

This programme contributes to the protection of citizens and critical infrastructures against terrorist attacks and other security-related incidents.

Information day on the General Programme on Security
and Safeguarding Liberties and the Internal Security Fund

The Commission in cooperation with the Swedish Police National Board organises the
Information Day on the General Programme on Security and Safeguarding Liberties and the
Internal Security Fund, which will take place in Stockholm on 21 May 2012.

More information:

On the one hand, the programme fosters prevention and preparedness, particularly by improving the protection of critical infrastructures. On the other hand, it focuses on consequence management to ensure the smooth coordination of crisis management and security actions, in particular regarding terrorist attacks.

Financial support (EUR 140 million over the period 2007–13) is provided for operational cooperation and coordination actions (strengthening networking, mutual confidence and understanding, developing contingency plans, exchanging and disseminating information, experiences and best practices).

The programme adopted by the Council of the European Union on 12 February 2007 covers the period 2007-13 with a budget amounting to ca. 140 million €.

How to apply

Submission of an application to a CIPS Call for Proposals must be done through the PRIAMOS online system. Prior registration in PRIAMOS is required.
