Green paper

The purpose of the Green paper on the European Workforce for Health (2008) was to give a clearer picture of the challenges faced by health systems across Europe, and to engage stakeholders in a debate on which actions could be taken.

Public consultation on the European Workforce for Health

197 responses were received and focused on the issues examined in the Green paper. The results will help inform the EU on how best to support Member States in tackling the challenges.

All responses are available online.

The consultation was launched with a conference attended by over 100 representatives of EU countries and stakeholders.
