The XVIII International AIDS Conference, the most important global
conference around HIV/AIDS issues, takes place in Vienna, 18-23 July 2010, with
the support of the European Commission. The European Commissioner for Health
and Consumer policy, John Dalli, spoke at the opening session, and the
Commission is organising a number of satellite sessions during the event.
