Tervisearengut edendavad uuenduslikud projektid võivad saada rahvatervise programmi raames ELi tervishoiustrateegia 
English (en) rakendamiseks ELi rahalist toetust.
Alates 2005. aastast väljastab Tervise- ja Tarbijaküsimuste Rakendusamet projektiettepanekuid käsitlevaid konkursikutseid, määrab stipendiume, korraldab konverentse ning hoiab suhteid rahvatervise programmi toetussaajatega.
