Interested to support the Scientific Committees?
This database is permanently open to scientists wishing to contribute to the work of the Scientific Committees on specific issues, on an ad hoc basis, as members of working groups or for scientific hearings and workshops.
All individuals with a good command of the English language and with a university degree in a relevant scientific area, preferably at postgraduate level, are welcome to register in the Database of Experts serving the Scientific Advisory Structure. Interested scientists should consult the EC Decision 2008/721/EC establishing the Advisory Structure and in particular its annexes. Those annexes contain more details about the fields of competence and the applicable indemnities, which were re-assessed in 2009 in accordance with the price indexes.
If interested, please fill out the online application form which is available in Adobe Acrobat pdf format only. Please attach also a CV and list of publications. The attachments may be either a Microsoft Word document or an Adobe Acrobat pdf file. The application form is available at the internet link below.
Call for experts:
In cases where the work of the European Commission Scientific Committees requires particular fields of expertise which are not found in the Pool of Advisors or the Database of experts, calls for experts may be organized that are presented in this section.
