International cooperation
It is a member of the Global Health Security Initiative (GHSI) – an international partnership to enhance public-health preparedness and response.
With the World Health Organisation, it is developing a road map for joint work on:
- international health regulations (IHR)
- emergency preparedness
- communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis
- antimicrobial resistance
- immunisation.
