Statement of the project's aims

Nutrition reports are the most important tool for the accurate documentation of population's nutritional status, the identification of groups at risk for developing nutrition related disorders, and the longitudinal monitoring of nutrition related factors. Several European countries are issuing national nutrition reports. The European Nutrition and Health Report will collect all relevant data which is available from the participating countries and convert them when necessary to a consolidated European Report as a basis for future activities on the field of public health and nutrition.

The report will deliver information on the development of food consumption during the past decades and nutrient intake on population group level, and - where possible - the nutritional status on the individual level. The report will also deal with current food quality/safety issues.
