Secondhand tobacco smoke is the smoke inhaled by passive smokers.
It is a
mixture of smoke exhaled by smokers (mainstream smoke) and smoke released from
their smouldering cigarette, cigar, or other smoking device (sidestream smoke)
diluted with ambient air.
Secondhand tobacco smoke contains carcinogens, as well
as other toxic components.
