Recentemente, a Comissão Europeia convidou o Comité Científico da Segurança dos Consumidores (CCSC), uma entidade independente, a emitir um parecer sobre a segurança das nanoformas de sílica, sílica hidratada e superfícies de sílica modificadas como o sililato de sílica e o dimetilsililato de sílica. Estes nanomateriais são utilizados em produtos cosméticos destinados a ser enxaguados ou não para o cabelo, pele, lábios, cara e unhas.

A Comissão convida o CCSC a pronunciar-se sempre que existem dúvidas sobre os riscos para a saúde e segurança relacionados com produtos de consumo não alimentares, nomeada [...]
