In the context of its health policy, the Commission has created structures to help citizens, interest groups and organisations take an active part in EU activities in the field of health. This has evolved in a long-standing and fruitful collaboration with its health stakeholders.

Such continued and even strengthened collaboration is a major task ahead to develop and implement EU health policy.

EU Health Policy Platform

The European Commission has developed the EU Health Policy Platform which is the major communication channel between the Commission and its health stakeholders. The EU Health Policy Platform enhances the communication and collaboration between the Commission services and its health stakeholders as well as between stakeholders themselves.

It succeeds the former EU Health Policy Forum, which existed until 2013.

EU Health Award for NGOs

With the EU Health Award for NGOs, the European Commission recognises non-governmental bodies which have achieved a particularly positive improvement in the field of health in their community.
