The jury met on 26 November 2013 and selected the Romanian national finalist. The name of the national finalist will be published after all the finalists are selected.

Iulia Deutsch, chair

Information and Communication Officer and Deputy Head of Representation, in the Representation of the European Commission in Romania since July 2008.
Has been working for the European Commission since 1994, when she joined the Delegation of the European Commission as a member of the Press and Information Team.
Subsequently she had been Task Manager in the Pre-Accession Team of the Delegation, in charge with the Phare programmes in Public Health, Enhanced Pre-Accession Strategy, Audio-visual and Culture sector etc.  

Georgeta Roman Neacsu, journalist

Georgeta ROMAN NEACSU is health editor at Evenimentul Zilei, quality daily newspaper. Georgeta has been working in journalism for more than 12 years, with experience in written press and television. In 1988, she graduated the Faculty of Journalism and Sciences of Communication.

Radu Dop MD, health expert

Vice President of Romanian Medical Association, surgeon for 38 years, with an academic career of 16 years, now is dedicated to social and NGO activities. Today his main focus is on E-Health.

Dr. Florentina Furtunescu, health expert

Florentina Ligia Furtunescu is senior specialist in public health field. She is medical doctor as background, with specialization in public health. She has a Master degree in Public Health and a PhD in Social Medicine.
She has more than 10 years experience in public health area, in research activities, teaching and health administration. Currently she is associate professor at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” - Department of Public Health. She used to work for the Romanian Ministry of Health as general director of the Public Health department. She has been involved in many international projects in public health field. 

Ana-Maria Nita, journalist

Ana-Maria Nita has been working in the media since 2005. She started as editor of a magazine for women. During that year, she found great interest for the health beat, and she was appointed Coordinating Editor of the "Libertatea Sanatate" magazine. Since 2008, she has been working at "Adevarul" (the first quality newspaper on the Romanian market), where she currently coordinates the daily activity of the Health Department for the newspaper and the weekly supplement "Adevarul Sanatate" (now "ADS Sanatate").
