National Jury Czech Republic

The jury met on 24 October 2013 and selected the Czech national finalist. The name of the national finalist will be published after all the finalists are selected.


Jan Michal, chair

Jan Michal is adviser at the Secretariat General of the European Commission. He is acting at the G8 Foreign Affairs Sous-Sherpa (FASS) for the European Commission. Since November 2009, he is also in charge of the internal coordination within the Commission on G8/G20 issues.

Markéta Grossmannová, journalist

Working in Czech media scene since 1995.  Focus on health issues and healthy lifestyle. Founder of the first health supplement in the daily Lidove noviny. Chief editor of Fit for  Fun magazine and of the health supplement of Hospodářské noviny. Since 2007 working for the second most read Czech daily  - MFD, as deputy head of sector of specialised supplements. Again in charge of the health supplement. Third time as jury member for Health Prize.


Tomáš Raiter, health expert

Dr. Tomas Raiter studied maths and physics at Charles University, Prague. He is working in measurement of healthcare quality and sociological research in several national projects such as: Quality Through the Patient's Eyes, Quality of Working Life. He has been President of SIMAR – national association of marketing and polling agencies (98-02). He is Member of ESOMAR and representative of Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic in HCQI Responsiveness/Patient Experiences Subgroup, OECD. Publications: Marketing Research in Practice, 1996, Strategic Marketing for Healthcare Institutions 2005.


Hana Čápová, journalist

Hana Čápováx works in the weekly "Respekt" since 1998 (with experience of work for MF DNES, Tyden and Lidove noviny). She is specialised in domestic consumer issues.
