Cancer

Cancer är fortfarande ett stort folkhälsoproblem, trots stora framsteg med att bekämpa sjukdomen.
Det finns stora skillnader när det gäller att förebygga och behandla cancer, både inom och mellan EU-länderna. Kommissionen främjar därför insatser för att förebygga och upptäcka cancer på ett tidigt stadium. Man stöder också EU-ländernas utbyte av information och bästa praxis i cancervården.

Kommissionen hoppas på detta sätt kunna bidra till en effektivare kamp mot cancer i hela EU.
