Description
This draft Commission proposal replaces Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 May 2010 on the indication by labelling and standard product information of the consumption of energy and other resources by energy-related products. It sets the framework for the adoption of delegated acts that will specify energy labels and product information sheets for specific energy-related products. It requires suppliers (manufacturers and importers) to provide energy labels with an A to G scale and product information sheets and requires dealers to display these labels and information sheets to consumers. It requires suppliers to register technical documentation concerning compliance in a database before placing product models on the market. It provides for a procedure to rescale the A-G labels when products on the market populate mainly the highest classes of the energy label. Objectives
