 Draft of Ordinance of the Federal Office of Public Health (OFOPH) concerning the inscription of active substances for the use in biocidal products according to the annexe 2 of the Swiss Ordinance on Biocidal Products (OBP); 31 pages; available in German, French and Italian. Switzerland harmonises technical regulations in the field of biocidal products with its main trading partner, the European Union. The approval of substances enables products containing such substances to be authorized in Switzerland. As from December 2015, Switzerland will notify approvals of substances if different from the approvals of substances following Regulation (EU) 528/2012.

Description

 According to art. 9 paragraph 5 letter a of the present OBP the Federal Office of Public Health is the competent authority to amend the list of active substances for inclusion in biocidal products. With the OFOPH the following 15 active substances will amend List I: Kupferpyrithion: product type 21 Pythium Oligandrum strain M1: product type 10 2-Methyl-3(2H)-isothiazolon: product type 13 5-Chlor-2-(4-chlorphenoxy)phenol (DCPP): product types 1, 2 and 4 Kaliumsorbat: product type 8 Wasserstoffperoxid: product types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 Medetomidin: product type 21 Folpet: product types 7 and 9 Glutaraldehyd: product types 2, 3, 4, 6, 11 and 12 Clothianidin: product type 18 Propiconazol: product type 7 IPBC: product type 13 Bromadiolon: product type 14 Chlorophacinon: product type 14 Coumatetralyl: product type 14
