For a risk-ready Europe: Bridging the gap between start-ups and investors

Details
Level: European Level Event
Title of the Event: For a risk-ready Europe: Bridging the gap between start-ups and investors
Description of the event:

Providing better access to venture capital for SME’s and start-ups has for many years been a key priority of the EU, which is lagging substantially behind the United States in this regard. Improving financing of the real economy through further developing and integrating capital markets is how the new European Commission plans to tackle the issue. We want to analyse best practices and problems in venture capital investment in Europe, with a look to the European legal framework and to the current stage of the Capital Market Union.

The event is organised by the SME confederation 'European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME', the Ludwig von Mises Institute-Europe and the German Mittelstand Association BVMW.

It sees the participation of BVMW and European Entrepreneurs president Mr. Mario Ohoven, of Mr. Ciprian Cristea, Head of Unit “COSME - Financial Instruments", DG GROW, Mr. Luigi Amati (Business Angels Europe and CEO Metagroup), Dr. Bernhard Meyer (CEO CONFIMO International and Senior Partner at Greycoat Partners, London), Mr. Stefano Ermacora (Owner at ErmAGora L. Ltd) and Mr. Antonio Tajani, vice-president of the European Parliament.
